At the Maitland Clinic we know that choosing to have a transplant can be a huge decision for any man or woman. We understand that it’s only natural that you will have lots of questions about the procedures and how our surgeon will perform the hair transplant. It might be that you are not quite sure yet if your hair loss requires a transplant and whether or not it is right for you.

We offer a consultation to all Swindon and Wiltshire patients where we will give you an honest assessment of what you should consider and what you should do. It could be that we recommend an alternative hair loss treatment if we feel it’s best for you, rather than a hair transplant. You will need to visit our clinic in Portsmouth which is a short drive of around 40 minutes, which we are sure you will agree is not that far in order to receive the very best care available anywhere on the south coast. You can see where we are located on our clinic location page.

After your consultation regarding your potential hair loss treatment, If you do choose to proceed with a hair transplant, then the surgery will require transferring healthy hair follicles from permanent areas of your scalp to the areas of hair loss. In the majority of cases of male or female pattern baldness this will involve Dr Ball transferring healthy follicles from the back and sides of your head to the front or crown.

With all of our patients we always recommend and choose the most appropriate hair loss treatment method to suit them as an individual – all of our procedures essentially use the same hair transplant process, but can differ in the way that the follicles are harvested.

When you come to see us at our hair loss clinic near Swindon, Dr Ball will go through the what is involved as well as  the benefits to all the various approaches which will help you to choose the best route for you with our support and help.

To find out more about how we work and some of the more technical and advanced elements involved, plus why so many patients choose us for hair loss treatment in Swindon then take a look at our  FAQs. In addition to that you can also look at before and after photos of some previous patients who have undergone hair transplant surgery with Dr Ball – those are available in our gallery section.
